Mocha Mousse - paintings inspired by the Color of the Year
Share
There was no grand plan when I started the Mocha Mousse project - just a color that felt right, and a mood I couldn’t shake.
Inspired by Pantone’s 2025 Color of the Year (but not copying it), I began painting with warm, earthy tones - soft browns, dusty neutrals, muted pinks. I wasn’t chasing perfection or a specific outcome. I just wanted to create something that felt like breathing space.
Every piece in this series is a response to that mood. Some came quickly. Others needed time. I let the process lead. There’s no set number of works, and I don’t know when it will end. I’m adding new pieces when it feels right - no pressure, no rush.
Mocha Mousse is more than a palette. It’s a pace. A calm corner in the middle of everything else.
